Help Me with Open Table Conference
Friends,
Help me plan my talk for The Open Table Conference here in PDX, June 9-11.
I pray you are well. I have been off the grid for most of the last year. There are a number of reasons for this but most central is my work on my first novel, which I hope to release by the end of the year.
My next project is preparing to join Paul Young, Baxter Kruger, John MacMurray and many other beloved friends at the Open Table Conference next week.
Supporting the other heavy hitters in the lineup with my storytelling style to serve the participants is my greatest concern.
The last time I spoke at OTC, I illustrated the Trinitarian God who co-suffers (listen here to similar presentation.)
This year, I am thinking about several themes including, God’s comfort with failure/doubt, the human tension of celebration/tragedy and/or the lessons I am learning through my recent explorations of fiction.
Do you have advice for me? Is there something you would like me to address? Have you heard me speak somewhere and think that some topic would be appropriate to OTC, please comment.
Thank you. And I hope to be more present on this blog in the weeks to come.
Hi Tony, welcome back! What speaks loudest to me is God’s comfort in failure/doubt. Fear of failure and self doubt are tremendously crippling human conditions. As a life coach it’s one of the most common subjects with my clients.
Blessings!
